- ground beef (5% fat) 800 g / 1.75 lb
- egg 1 / 1
- oats (as binder) 40 g / 1/2 cup
- canned tomatoes 2 cans / 2 cans
- garlic 3 cloves / 3 cloves
- oregano 1 tbsp / 1 tbsp
Oats instead of breadcrumbs — nobody can tell.
STEPS
- Mix beef, egg, oats, salt and half the oregano. Roll 20 balls.
- Brown the meatballs all over.
- Add tomatoes, garlic and the rest of the oregano. Simmer 15 minutes.
