INGREDIENTS

  • ground beef (5% fat) 800 g / 1.75 lb
  • egg 1 / 1
  • oats (as binder) 40 g / 1/2 cup
  • canned tomatoes 2 cans / 2 cans
  • garlic 3 cloves / 3 cloves
  • oregano 1 tbsp / 1 tbsp

Oats instead of breadcrumbs — nobody can tell.

STEPS

  1. Mix beef, egg, oats, salt and half the oregano. Roll 20 balls.
  2. Brown the meatballs all over.
  3. Add tomatoes, garlic and the rest of the oregano. Simmer 15 minutes.
